Memory Photos... What are these types of Photos?

Hello my wonderful Friends,

I ask one question to you today,  Do you know what Memory Photos are and why do people what them?

Well I’m here to tell you Memory Photos are special photos created for clients that have lost a love one. These photos can be simple or complex depends on few things. One is that I have a good photo of the client. and the next thing would be a great photo of the past loved one so I can composite the photo together to make one beautiful photo.

I have done few of these photos and I love creating them for my clients.  I do say sometime I do get emotional when doing them and I do over think my process but only because I want my clients to have the perfect Memory Photo.  But most of the artist I know always are more critical on themselves then other would be.

The most recent one was from a family that I have photographed several times from the first session in 2016 which was a cousins photos session ( all 9 girls) Thank you Ann Blake for letting me capture all your nieces and your daughters this was a fun session. With this one session it turned into engagements photos to weddings to mini sessions and family session.  This is what I want is families that trust me in capturing the most precious moment in life.  I do love my clients and how devoted they are to me and my business. I truly do have the best clients I mean Family because my clients do become Family.   I had Donna Hann set up a family session and ask if I could do a memory photo and I was happy to do one for this awesome family.

The day  of the photo session it was cold.  I wish I could control the weather but I cant so we just dealt with it.  We was in the Hancock Park by the dam (waterfall)  and the light just shine down through the trees which I was getting a natural sun flare which is the best kind to get in the photo but I had no clue just how beautiful it was until I went to edit the photos.  This is why I chose this photo because I felt Kevin was right there with all of us.

The couple that I will be sharing the memory photo of I have watched them both grow from being young adults to adults in a matter of year. I have taken many photo of these two from their engagement to the Wedding and then session in between. I loved having them in the Studio.

Mariah I just wanted to let you know that Kevin was a wonderful man and loved you so much for I have proof of that in the photos.  I’m so happy that I could be a big part of both of your lives.  I will cherish all our funny moments from each session we had together.

Thank you all for letting me become apart of your family and celebrate so many milestones in each of the girls lives. Love you all!
